{"id":158,"date":"2012-07-16T22:49:19","date_gmt":"2012-07-16T22:49:19","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.apisbull.com\/blog\/?p=158"},"modified":"2012-07-16T22:49:19","modified_gmt":"2012-07-16T22:49:19","slug":"more-federal-bailouts-on-the-way","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.apisbull.com\/blog\/?p=158","title":{"rendered":"More Federal Bailouts On The Way"},"content":{"rendered":"<div><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">\u00a0if you thought the unfair bailouts were finally over with, then you\u2019re going to hate this blog entry.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">There\u2019s a new trend emerging all over the USA that you need to know about.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">A trend that confirms what we know about the fate of the dollar, the US economy and the coming economic collapse.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">While analysts on mainstream television struggle and stretch to find good news about a \u201crecovery,\u201d the truth is the worst is still to come.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">Analyst Meredith Whitney, who famously warned of problems with American banks in the months leading up to the 2008 crash, says this could lead to the next round of bailouts.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">What is this alarming trend?<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div><strong>Cities Across the U.S.\u00a0Are Going Bankrupt<\/strong><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/div>\n<div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">American cities are usually funded by property taxes based on a percentage of the properties value. \u00a0And since property values ballooned and crashed along with the housing bubble, revenues have fallen drastically from the peak.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">This means the cities who overspent and over-promised are in full out crisis-mode.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">Three Californian cities filed for bankruptcy in just the last few weeks: San Bernardino, Stockton and Mammoth Lakes. \u00a0That brings the total to seven this year, and many more are considering it.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">Warren Buffet suggested these 3 bankruptcies might open the floodgates to many more. \u00a0That\u2019s because traditionally cities don\u2019t consider bankruptcy an option, but that stigma will fade as more do it.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">And since cities are struggling to pay the bills, the pressure to do something drastic is building.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">For example&#8230;<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">\u25cf A frustrated Scranton, PA mayor put all city employees on minimum wage&#8230; including the police and firefighters who risk their lives for a living.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">\u25cf In Detroit, more than 40% of streetlights are broken, and the city can\u2019t afford to fix them.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">\u25cf And Colorado Springs, Santa Rosa (CA), Rockford (IL) and Highland Park (MI) are among the many cities turning off streetlights to save on costs.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/div>\n<div>\n<div><strong>And States Aren\u2019t Doing Any Better<\/strong><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/div>\n<div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">In fact, most states are struggling to stay afloat.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">It\u2019s been reported that some gas station owners in Illinois are refusing to fill the tanks of State Troopers. Why? Because they pay with state credit cards, which the state neglects to pay off.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">Arizona state recently sold off 20 properties to raise a quick $735 million, including the state capitol building and both legislative chambers!<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">And 32 states have borrowed money from the federal government in order to payout their unemployment benefits&#8230; to the tune of nearly $38 billion!<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div><strong>The Only Viable Option\u00a0May Be the Most Dangerous<\/strong><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/div>\n<div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">Even if cities could find a way to borrow enough money to keep afloat, that would mean higher taxes for citizens. <\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">And citizens are already strapped for cash. \u00a0So higher taxes just aren\u2019t politically viable.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">The most likely option, then, is to fall in line with other cities and declare bankruptcy.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">But as more cities pull the trigger and file for Chapter 9 protection, the pressure for the federal government to step in and bailout struggling cities and states will be enormous.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">And after the November election, politicians who don\u2019t have to face voters for another 2 years will be free to help their friends in city government.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">This means you should&#8230;<\/span><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/div>\n<div>\n<div><strong>Beware of More Bailouts to Come<\/strong><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">The Congress can dish out money for cities and states the same way they did for the banks and auto companies. \u00a0All it takes is one bill.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">And even if the protests are large enough to squash the bailout before it happens in Congress, there\u2019s still the Federal Reserve.\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">The Federal Reserve is not accountable to the people and can bailout cities by purchasing municipal bonds with money created out of thin air.<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">Either way &#8211; if the Congress adds on more debt or the Federal Reserve dilutes the currency with more money-printing&#8230;<\/span><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/div>\n<div>\n<div>\n<div><strong>The Dollar Will Ultimately\u00a0Suffer The Consequences&#8230; Well, Actually YOU Will.<\/strong><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><BR><\/p>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Arial;\">Prepare for the worst.
