Entrepreneurs come in two flavors. Those who give up too soon, and those who succeed.<\/p>\n

Today we\u2019d like to share another success story from one of our members Scott.<\/p>\n

But first realize that Scott\u2019s success didn\u2019t come overnight. It was a process that unfolded through many failures.<\/p>\n

For many of you, that story will sound familiar.<\/p>\n

For some of you, you may be shutting the door on yourself too early.<\/p>\n

Here\u2019s how Scott\u2019s story could help you:<\/p>\n

I took the entrepreneur profile test and found out that I am a Creator. This has really opened my eyes to why past business ventures have failed for me. I have always had that internal entrepreneurial spirit. Now I am one step closer as I am discovering my entrepreneurial strengths and tendencies.<\/em><\/p>\n

Scott didn\u2019t elaborate on his past business failures, but\u2026<\/p>\n

\u2026It probably went something like this:<\/p>\n

He found an exciting business opportunity and threw himself fully into it.<\/p>\n

He did everything he was told, but it didn\u2019t quite work like he thought it would.<\/p>\n

He tried his best to make it work, but challenges came up, and he didn\u2019t know what to do next.<\/p>\n

He made a few sales, mostly to friends and family. Then he floundered around for a while.<\/p>\n

Finally he got bored because there wasn\u2019t any success. Or he ran out of money. Probably both.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s a story that gets repeated thousands of times every day by well-intentioned entrepreneurs.<\/p>\n

They are very close.<\/p>\n

They just need a little guidance.<\/p>\n

But after that you need persistence. Because\u2026<\/p>\n

Every Entrepreneur Fails at Least Once\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/span>
\n<\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n

Failure is part of the learning process.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s not something you plan to do\u2026but it does happen.<\/p>\n

The key is what you do next.<\/p>\n

Resilience in life is an important quality.<\/p>\n

Being resilient with your business pursuits and investments is crucial to financial success.<\/p>\n

Almost every successful person in the history of the world has had to overcome failures and obstacles.<\/p>\n

A Lesson From Walt Disney\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/span>
\n<\/strong><\/span><\/div>\n

Consider Walt Disney. His entrepreneurial profile was also \u201cCreator,\u201d just like Scott.<\/p>\n

But having good ideas doesn\u2019t create guaranteed business success.<\/p>\n

Walt dropped out of high school. He was kicked out of the army. He got fired from his first newspaper job for \u201cnot being creative enough.\u201d<\/p>\n

(The real problem was that his creativity was stifled in that environment.)<\/p>\n

So Walt struck out on his own. His early animations were a HUGE success with the public.<\/p><\/div>\n

 <\/p>\n

But Walt didn\u2019t know how to manage money \u2026 and his business went bankrupt within two years.<\/p>\n

In his second business attempt, he got the money management figured out by hiring someone else to handle that.<\/p>\n

But this time he failed to secure legal rights to his creations. A business partner stole his cartoons\u2026and his team of animators. Ouch!<\/p>\n

Poor Walt was broke again.<\/p>\n

Third Time\u2019s a Charm \u2026 or Disney\u2019s Folly?\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/div>\n

Walt Disney\u2019s third attempt to start an animation studio finally found success.<\/p>\n

But it didn\u2019t come easy.<\/p>\n

Walt\u2019s big dream was to create the first ever full-length animated motion picture.<\/p>\n

Hollywood insiders ridiculed the idea as \u201cDisney\u2019s Folly.\u201d They said it would be the end of Disney Studios. They were almost right.<\/p>\n

Disney started making\u00a0Snow White<\/em>\u00a0in 1934, during the height of the Great Depression.<\/p>\n

His studio ran out of money in 1937 and had to halt production with the film 90% finished.<\/p>\n

But Walt refused to give up.<\/p>\n

First he mortgaged his home. Then he cobbled together a rough cut of the movie. Finally he gathered together a group of investors.<\/p>\n

He gave them a private viewing of his unfinished masterpiece in a last-ditch effort to save the film.<\/p>\n

The persistence paid off. Walt secured his loans, and\u00a0Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs<\/em>\u00a0premiered at Christmastime of 1937.<\/p>\n

The public adored the movie and Disney made over $8 million in its initial release. That\u2019s the equivalent of $122 million USD in today\u2019s money.<\/p>\n

The movie had only cost Disney $1.08 million to produce, so it was quite a windfall for him.<\/p>\n

Walt paid off all his loans, gave his animators a great bonus and expanded his studio. The rest is history.<\/p>\n

Walt Disney is an exceptional story. But he wouldn\u2019t be a story at all if he had given up.<\/p>\n

That\u2019s what\u2019s inspiring about Scott C. He\u2019s never given up.<\/p><\/div>\n

But he\u2019s also learned from his mistakes and now he\u2019s building his home business the right way.<\/p>\n
