I sold
Southwestern Energy
Corp ( SWN
) because I beleived
this stock would go
down in the short
term, enough to want
to get out. This
stock had an opening
above the previous
days high with a down
close. This sends a
message to me that
the prices will go
down. The problem is,
you don't know how
far down, a little or
a lot. SWN may be a
good buy again in the
near future.
Lets take a look
at SWN.
On June 7th the
opening was higher
than June 6th high
and June7th had a
lower close from June
6. This is an over
bought stage. It's
possible the stock
could go up later but
I know the price will
go down now so I'm
going to take my
money now.
Nobody knows whats
going to happen in
the future, but I
know my odds when
certain situations
occur. I also don't
know how high a stock
will rise or fall but
I do know when to get
out. Knowing when to
get out of a stock is
as important as
getting in.
SWN had a stock
split on the 6th of
June. I have noticed
when a stock splits
the price will tend
to fall. I don't why
this is but I know
odds are it will go
down in the short
term.
Next week I'll be
looking at more
buys.
